A Study of the Novel “Raja Gidh” in Light of the Islamic Concepts
Abstract
Bano Qudsia is one of the famous female writers in Urdu literature who wrote many remarkable novels with the help of her fertile imaginations. “Raja Gidh” is one of her best novels in which she draws the line between lawful and unlawful (حلال و حرال) things in literary and symbolic way. It appears from her work that she discovered the picture of human society in the light of Islamic thoughts and that Quran and hadith are the basic sources of her novel. This article deals with the said topics and the spirit of Islamic philosophy which can easily be seen in its background.
